Description
My dancer drawings and paintings were created in honor of my grandmother, Beatrice Allen Page, and my great aunt, Ruth Page, both of whom were dancers. Aunt Ruth founded the Chicago Ballet and my grandmother danced with Ruth St. Denis, one of the founders of the modern dance movement. I had hoped to follow in their footsteps but had bad knees, and honestly, no talent. But I love feeling connected to them as I try to capture movement in a static medium.
