Winter Berry Chickadees metal print by Emily Page. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
My grandmother used to feed birds out of her bedroom window, and her favorites were the chickadees. They would fly right into her hand and delicately peck at her offerings. As a little kid, I thought she must be magic, because only Disney princesses could get birds to eat out of their hands. Because of her love of them, Chickadees are now my favorite bird, too.
About Emily Page
�Color and texture are hugely important in my work. Applied appropriately, they can actually elicit a visceral response from the viewer,� says Emily Page, a California-born, Virginia-raised artist. Page began experimenting with different brushwork and palette knife work, scraping and overlaying, from the very beginning. At Wake Forest University in North Carolina, she honed her skills and graduated with honors with a BA in visual arts. �I learned to work in a number of mediums, including sculpture and photography, but my passion has always been painting. I love working with oil paint simply for the richness of it. It just feels luxurious. And it affords such workability and durability. No other medium matches it. I enjoy branching...
