Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Thank you so much! I wish I had been a better dancer, and wish I'd had good knees, but I'll take good hands instead.

My fave of the day in Women Painters group thread. What history you have, as an ex-contemporary dancer/teacher I'm impressed!!! L/F

Artist's Description

My dancer paintings were created in honor of my grandmother, Beatrice Allen Page, and my great aunt, Ruth Page, both of whom were dancers. Aunt Ruth founded the Chicago Ballet and my grandmother danced with Ruth St. Denis, one of the founders of the modern dance movement. I had hoped to follow in their footsteps but had bad knees, and honestly, no talent. But I love feeling connected to them as I try to capture movement in a static medium.

About Emily Page

Emily Page

Color and texture are hugely important in my work. Applied appropriately, they can actually elicit a visceral response from the viewer, says Emily Page, a California-born, Virginia-raised artist. Page began experimenting with different brushwork and palette knife work, scraping and overlaying, from the very beginning. At Wake Forest University in North Carolina, she honed her skills and graduated with honors with a BA in visual arts. I learned to work in a number of mediums, including sculpture and photography, but my passion has always been painting. I love working with oil paint simply for the richness of it. It just feels luxurious. And it affords such workability and durability. No other medium matches it. I enjoy branching...
